2020-2021 Principal’s Message

Dear Students, Parents and Community Members,

It gives me great honor and pride to introduce myself and provide you with a warm welcome to J.C. Bermudez Doral Senior High School, Home of the Thunder!

My name is Edward R. Smith and as principal, my goal is to create a positive and safe learning environment for all our students. We all know that these are uncertain times and that we will be starting the 2020-2021 school year through a virtual platform. However, our faculty and staff are prepared to face any challenge that we are presented with in order to implement the best teaching strategies and communication tools for the academic and social growth of our students.

It is our intention to ensure that, throughout these next four years, our students are provided with the knowledge and confidence necessary to become aware of their infinite worth and contribute to the good of society with their lives. Their journey, after they leave J.C. Bermudez Doral Senior High, may lead them to transition to a college, university or a career-based secondary environment where they will use what they have learned to live a full life.

On behalf of our Thunder Family of administrators, teachers, counselors and staff, I want you to know that we are fully committed to transparent and positive communication. I encourage you to contact us with any of your questions or concerns so that we may address them in a timely manner. Our aim is to collaborate with all our stakeholders to ensure the success of our students and the prosperity of our school. We thank you for entrusting your child’s high school career to us and look forward to our new partnership as we journey together as members of the J.C. Bermudez Doral Senior High School family!
